Kayak and Paddleboard

Kayak and Paddleboard Amenity

Residents, renters, family members, and guests are welcome to enjoy complimentary access to our community kayaks and paddleboards. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful morning paddle, a fun weekend activity with family, or a relaxing sunset on the water, this new amenity is here for you.

This addition is designed to enhance our waterfront lifestyle and create even more opportunities to enjoy the beautiful surroundings that make Admiralty Point so special.

How to Use the Kayak & Paddleboard Amenity

The first step in the process is for all residents who wish to participate to complete the Kayak and Paddleboard Waiver Form. Each owner, renter, family member or guest must complete the form and return it to the main office. No one will be able to use any of the equipment without a signed waiver on file.

The next step is to familiarize yourself with the AP Kayak and Paddleboard rules. For the safety of all of those involved, adherence to the rules is critical to the success of the amenity. A signed acknowledgement of the rules must be submitted with your waiver.

Finally, if you would be willing to donate a kayak or paddleboard to the amenity, please complete the Gift Acknowledgement Form and return it to the office. Before any kayaks or paddleboards are accepted, they will need to be inspected by the US Coast Guard to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

All donated kayaks and paddleboards will be removed in mid-July and returned to the racks on November 1st during peak Hurricane Season. Before the kayaks or paddleboards are returned, they will be inspected and any necessary repairs will be completed.

How the Process Works

Now that you’ve signed the waiver and rules, and perhaps even donated a kayak or paddleboard — here’s how the process works:

  1. Make a Reservation
Reservations can be made maximum 24 hours in advance by contacting the Gate House either by phone or in person.
  2. Equipment Assignment
Each kayak and paddleboard in the amenity is numbered and secured with a lock.
When you check out equipment, you will be issued a numbered key that corresponds to the specific kayak or paddleboard assigned to you on the rack.
  3. Launch Location
All kayaks and paddleboards must be launched from the designated AP Kayak Launch and may not be taken off Admiralty Point property.
  4. After Your Excursion
  • Please hose down the kayak or paddleboard.
  • Remove any excess water.
  • Return the equipment to the same numbered slot on the rack where it was originally stored and secure it with the provided cable and lock
  1. The final step is to return your numbered key to the Gate House.
